A good diet is an integral part of a great life style and to enhance our wellbeing.
We not only need to supply our body with the right nutrients, but also need to focus on reducing inflammation, and an anti-inflammatory diet is the key to achieving this goal.
Inflammation is the core cause of most illnesses and mainly starts in the gut.
Below is a guide to use whilst on Regul 8 Digestive Tune Up or Bestow Gut Love Powder to further enhance results;
*Sugar sparingly, can have healthy snacks such as dark chocolate, fruit sorbet, nuts and seeds, berries. Avoid dried fruit as it contains too much sugar.
*Alcohol in moderation, 2-3 times a week. Avoid mixed drinks and cocktails as they are too sugary.
*Drink plenty of white, green, oolong tea. Coffee reduce to 2 only daily
A reminder each cup of latte naturally contains 3 spoons of sugar, lactose is sugar
*Add spices to your diet, turmeric, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, garlic, thyme, rosemary, basil
*Supplements on daily basis, activated B, multivitamin, and minerals, EFAS, D3 and adaptogens (Relax, part of Regul8) to balance cortisol levels
*Protein, reduce consumption of animal, and dairy protein. Red meat organic, grass fed twice a week, free-range eggs, oily fish, organic chicken, and legumes are an excellent source of protein. Also good quality yogurt and feta, or cottage cheese in moderation
If you suffer from acne, remove milk and ice-cream completely
*Healthy fats, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, no safflower, sunflower oil as they cause inflammation
*Consume 2-4 servings of flax meal, walnuts, avocados
*Grains, go easy on gluten, and grains. A healthier choice would be brown rice, wild rice, basmatic rice, buckwheat, barley, quinoa, wheat free oats. Sourdough bread such as spelt few slices a week.
Purified water, up to 2lt a day, and 30-50grams of fibre, both of these are crucial for good digestion
Remove all packaged foods from your diet
Avoid fast foods, as the oil is of poor quality and can be rancid and recycled
Start with green juice lime or lemon, celery, parsley, cucumber, and kale
Berries with organic yogurt
Brown rice, amaranth, millet cereal with almond milk, coconut or rice
Once or twice a week good quality sourdough toast with tahini organic butter and maple syrup
Salads, soups, bone broth, roasted vegetables, tofu, tempeh, goats cheese, fetta, cottage cheese
Eggs, salmon, chicken 3-4 times a week
Reduce consumption of tuna as it has high levels of mercury
Casseroles, stews, curries, legumes, rice, pasta in moderation
Alternate chicken, beef, lamb. Aim for vegetarian choices a couple nights a week
